Context: Matthew got a text on his phone from a customer who stated that he was unable to call us because he had ALS. The customer stated that he wanted a way to get onto his boat because this was likely going to be the last summer he could use that boat. Matthew went out the next day to measure for the ramp that would be used to get him from his yard to his boat in the day, after that, the ramp was installed the customer was very emotional after the ramp was installed. As this ramp would give him access to his boat for the last summer he was going to be able to use it.
The main constraint was going to be putting a platform at the edge of the lake level with the boat so then that way he could wheel directly onto the platform and onto the boat with the legs of the platform sticking into the ground in the lake.
Action Taken: Matthew went out and drew a layout that would extend about 20 feet of ramp down to a platform that would be level with his pontoon. The next day, Evan and Tony went out to install that ramp with multiple legs of the platform sinking down into the lake to provide a secure platform location.
Speed Factor: Because of the stock we keep in our storage facility we were able to get this ramp installed within 48 hours after initial contact with the customer.
Client Outcome: The client was ecstatic to have the ability to have a ramp going down to his pontoon with handrails on it to make it safe to navigate for the last summer he was going to be able to use the ramp we took the ramp out after the summertime and the customer was very appreciative of all that we were able to do.
